Strawberry Ice-Cream Recipe & Blog Anniversary GiveAway 草莓冰淇淋 (中英加图对照食谱)
My friend, Marie, bought me this premium 100% pure Strawberry Powder from Taiwan some time ago and I have used it to make this simple 4 ingredients Strawberry Ice-Cream. My teenager commented that it tasted like Hagaan Dazs Strawberry ice-cream when she took her first mouthful. Indeed it does and it's awfully delicious! Homemade ice-cream is pretty simple to make with just 4 ingredients and most important it is free from artificial colourings, flavourings and preservatives.

Matcha ice-cream has always been my favourite ice-cream. Many readers have tried my blog's earlier Homemade Matcha green tea ice-cream recipe and given good feedback. As it requires more steps, involving the cooking of the egg mixture to 85 degree Celsius, I decided to work out a recipe without using any eggs. After several experiments, finally I am satisfied with this eggless version. It tastes just as good!

Milo Ice-Cream (eggless version) 美禄巧克力冰淇淋- 无蛋版(中英加图对照食谱)
Hope you have enjoyed my creation of the Milo Ferrero Rocher Swiss Roll in my last post. This time I am gonna share another personal creation which also got the big thumbs up from my family. This Milo frozen treat can be made with or without an ice-cream maker and definitely cheers us up in this time of hazy condition in Singapore caused by the Indonesia fires.

Due to the deterioration of air quality, my family has been keeping all doors and windows shut (hubby even bought air-tight tapes to stick on the windows and doors to ensure a tight seal to prevent any air from coming through) and making our IQAir Healthpro air-purifier work extra hard. We are also diligent in donning our N95 masks when the PSI level hits unhealthy level.
We are kind of disturb to see many people taking the haze too lightly and still do not wear N95 mask (surgical masks, tissues or handkerchiefs will not protect you at all!) at outdoors. According to Wikipedia, the PM 2.5 particles which made up the majority of haze particles is the deadliest form of air pollution due to their ability to penetrate deep into the lungs and blood streams unfiltered, causing DNA mutations, heart attacks, premature death and lung cancer, thus even short-term exposure can be damaging!
Hence, I do urge my Singaporean and Malaysian readers to take good care during this haze period and be proactive in taking care of your own/family's health.

As mentioned before, due to the warm weather, I am making ice-cream more frequently and constantly thinking what flavour I should try next. Looking at the matcha cookies which I baked last week, it gave me an inspiration to incorporate it into my favourite homemade vanilla ice-cream and hence the birth of this deliciously good matcha cookies ice-cream!

According to Straits Times report few days ago, Singapore will be expecting dry and warm months ahead due to the prevailing El Nino weather phenomenon and the weatherman forecasts that the region would be drier and warmer than usual until September or early October. To keep myself cool in this hot weather, I frequent the swimming pool more often and make popsicles and ice-cream every 2~3 days! Last week, I shared the awfully delicious Salted Caramel ice-cream recipe and it was very well received. Today, I am going to share a personal favourite homemade ice-cream with you and hope you will enjoy it as much as I do! :)

My kids tried the Salted Caramel ice-cream at Marble Slab Creamery few weeks ago and fell in love with it. As usual, they will ask, "Mummy, can you replicate it at home?" So, I sourced on the internet and found a recipe on Epicurous which has received many good reviews from those who had tried it. Indeed this recipe did not disappoint us! We love it and it's a keeper! Do note that the mixture is still a little soft after processing it in the ice-cream maker thus you will have to crank up the freezer to freeze it firm. Without an ice-cream maker, you can also make this successfully!

Mango Ice- Cream 芒果雪糕 (中英食谱教程)
Weather has been really warm and humid in Singapore and cool treats are definitely a big welcome for all. Here's sharing with you a refreshing, simple 3 ingredients mango ice-cream recipe which is one of my all time favourite. This recipe does not require an ice-cream maker but I used it as it can churn the ice-cream out for me in an hour to consume straight away to beat the heat! ;p

Ever since I have an ice-cream maker at home, I have been making ice-cream almost fornightly. I enjoy experimenting new ice-cream flavours but my family's favourite is still the Matcha ice-cream which you can find the recipe here.
Besides Matcha flavour, we love dark chocolate (see the benefits below) ice-cream too especially the premium dark chococolate 'Hei' (黑) ice-cream from Awfully Chocolate. I am still experimenting and hope that I will achieve close to the 'Hei' (黑) chocolate ice-cream one day...hei hei! ;p Meanwhile, let me share this new creation that I tried yesterday which satisfied my craving for dark chocolate and peanut butter at the same time!

Healthy Mango Yogurt Ice-Cream
Ice-cream are great desserts with the young and old especially on a scorching hot day! I just love to make ice-cream even though I do not have an ice-cream maker at home. In fact, you do not need one to churn out the ice-cream if you have a good recipe to follow. I will often think of making ice-cream whenever I have left over heavy whipping cream from making cakes. This is a fast way of using it up without having to discard it as the shelf-life of an opened pack of whipping cream is 3 days. This mango ice-cream recipe which I am sharing with you uses the thick and creamy Greek style yogurt to replace half a portion of the heavy whipping cream used originally, so it is definitely healthier. :)

Homemade Matcha (Green tea) Ice-Cream Tutorial Recipe 抹茶冰淇淋 (中英食谱教程)
You can easily make ice-cream at home without owning an ice-cream maker. I chance upon this Chinese translated ice-cream recipe book written by a Korean who owns a patisserie - BaQueen.
The first recipe which I tried from the book is the Matcha ice-cream as my daughter and I love Matcha desserts. This dessert turns out to be superlicious and if you are a matcha lover like me, you must give this a try! No regrets!
