Taiwanese Traditional Sponge Cake - Cheese / Pork Floss 台湾古早味蛋糕 - 芝士 / 肉松 （中英加图对照食谱）

This Taiwanese Traditional Sponge Cake has been on my to-bake list for a long time. I had experimented and baked it in three flavors - original, cheese and pork floss flavor. My family's favorite is the pork floss flavor as we find it the most delicious as compared to the other two. 

I've wanted to do a blog recipe post on this earlier but my beloved grandmother passed away on 8 October 2017 and I was in deep deep grief being very close to her. Those who have followed me on Baking Taitai's Facebook Page and Instagram would have known about it. I've baked two of her favorite cakes in memory of her as what better way to remember our loved ones through their favorite food. 

Wholemeal Garlic Foccacia 全麦葱香佛卡夏 （中英加图对照食谱）

In a mood to make some bread and decided on foccacia, instead of the usual olive, tomato and rosemary, I have added minced garlic and parmesan cheese powder.  I have also added wholemeal flour to make this Italian flat bread more wholesome and healthy. It turned out super fragrant and nice! 😋  In fact while it was baking, the roasted garlic aroma filled the whole house! 

心血来潮想做面包，就用直接法做了这佛卡夏。这次不像平常放橄榄，番茄和迷迭香，反而放了大蒜和帕梅森起司粉更加美味！😋 烘焙时，香气充满了整个屋子也！太喜欢了！

Cheesy Shanghai Mooncake 芝士上海月饼 （中英加图对照食谱）

I have actually scheduled this week to bake more varieties of mooncakes but due to unforeseen circumstances, my girl injured her toe and I had to bring her to the hospital to see the Pediatric Orthopaedic and more visits to the hospital as my boy has to see Pediatric Ophthalmology and mum has to undergo minor surgery. So, I am left with just one day to bake before the mid-autumn festival this Sunday. I have chosen to try out this cheesy Shanghai Mooncake which is so much easier as compared to the traditional Cantonese style mooncakes. It turned out to be fragrant and tasty. Do give it a try if you have some time. :)

Super addictive Mini Cheese Bread 一口乳酪面包 （中英食谱教程）

This mini bite size bread is so addictive that you can't stop at one, guarantee that you will be popping one after another into your mouth and in no time you will finish the whole batch and wished that you have made more! ;)
This recipe is a keeper and I shall be making this finger food snack very often as it is so well liked by everyone in the family!

Cheesy Pineapple Tarts - Goat shaped 芝士凤梨酥－ 山羊造型 (中英食谱教程)

Just one more week to the Lunar New Year and we will be welcoming the Goat Year. I have seen many bakers baking the lovable sheep cookies but I wanted to do something different. So, I put on my thinking cap and ponder on how to transform my round pineapple tarts into a goat shape. Finally, I work out something this afternoon and here's sharing with you my new creation of a goat pineapple tart. Hope you like it!
