Quick & Easy Almond Cupcake pops & Giveaway 简易杏仁蛋糕棒棒糖与赠品活动 (中英食谱教程)

I have always thought that making cake pops are messy and very time-consuming as it involves the process of baking a cake first, mashing it up and forming into small balls. And to use your bare hands to shape the cake crumble individually into a ball is indeed daunting and seems to take forever!

Well, I have changed my thoughts about this cake pop making after Mastrad Asia Pacific approached me recently and introduced me to their Cupcake pops kit. I am amazed at how easily cake pop can be done with the baking kits provided. Here is a box of Mastrad Cupcake pops kit which I have received to try out.

Mastrad F44960 Cupcake Pops Kit
It contains:
- A flexible, nonstick 100% silicone mould with 24 baking cups and a lid.
- 24 reusable sticks.
- A mini pastry bag with 3 pastry tips for filling the baking cups with precision and decorating your cupcake pops.
- A Cupcake Pops booklet with tips and recipes to inspire your creative side.

I am happy and pleased at how easily and convenient cake pops can be made now as all you need is to prepare the cake batter, pour it into the decor pastry bag provided, pipe into the cupcake mould and bake it. Voila! Your cake pops are ready in 15 minutes! Easy peasy ya?

Here's sharing the recipe which I have adapted and modified from the booklet. If you are keen to try out this cupcake pop kit, scroll all the way down to take part in the Giveaway and you may be the lucky one to win a set!

My little boy offers to let me take a photo of him holding the first cake pop he has chosen from the lot.

Quick & Easy Almond Cupcake Pops
(recipe adapted and modified from the recipe booklet that came with the Mastrad cupcake pops kit, 中文食谱由Baking Taitai翻译)

Ingredients: (makes 24 cupcake pops)
40g plain flour (I used Blue Jacket premium patent flour)
40g almond meal/ground almond
55g melted butter
25g caster sugar
1 egg (I used 65g)
1/2 tsp baking powder

40克 普通/中筋面粉(我用优质水手牌粉心粉)
40克 杏仁粉
55克 融化牛油
25克 细砂糖
鸡蛋1个 (我用65克的)
1/2茶匙 发粉/泡打粉

Guess which is my favourite? (Hint: artistic)

Method 方法:
1. Whisk the egg, sugar and melted butter until well combined.

2. Mix the flour, ground almond and baking powder well.

3. Mix in the flour mixture until well combined.

4. Pour the cake batter into the Deco-Pocket. Fill the baking cups with the batter.

5. Cover with the lid and bake in a preheated oven at 180 degree Celcius top/bottom heat for 15 minutes. (Grease the lid when using for the first time.)

6. Allow to cool completely before unmoulding.

7. Decorate as desire.

The mould itself serves as a cake pop holder as well, how genius!

Tips 小提示:
If you are worried that the stick will fall off easily, you can dip one end of the stick into melted chocolate before inserting into the cakepop. Then put the cakepops into the fridge to let the melted chocolate harden, this will help to prevent the sticks from falling off.
如果担心棒子会容易掉下来,可以在棒子顶部沾一些溶化巧克力后再插进蛋糕里, 放入冰箱让巧克力凝固,棒子就会比较牢固,不会轻易掉下来了。

The cooking temperature as suggested in all my recipes serve as a guideline. Every oven has different thermostat, you may have to adjust the temperature and timing to suit your oven. Different brand of ingredients have different composites, thus there may be a slight difference in the end result.  食谱里的烘烤温度和时间只是供参考,每一架烤炉的恒温器都不同,请自己调适。不同品牌的材料有不同的复合材料,所以最终成品有可能稍有不同。
