An inspiration came today and I played with some pastry dough and came up with this monkey-design pineapple tarts which is appropriate as we approach the year of the Monkey in about 3 weeks time.
If you do remember, I had created a goat-shaped pineapple tarts for the year of the Goat last year. ;)
I am rather satisfied and happy with my new creation and will definitely include this in my upcoming melt-in-the-mouth pineapple tarts workshop. (Click HERE if you are interested to join this hands-on workshop)

|Eyes/Nose 眼睛/鼻子- Black sesame seed 黑芝麻|
Mouth 嘴 - chocolate rice 巧克力米
Apply egg wash on the pineapple tarts. Bake in preheated oven at 160 degrees Celcious fan forced for 15 mins or until golden brown.
Cool completely before storing in an airtight container.
