Last week, my 12 year old girl tried to replicate a homemade pasta dish which I have cooked before using homemade cream sauce and I must say it's a success and well done for her first attempt!
Here's the meal she cooked for us.
上个星期,我那12岁的女儿心血来潮要做午餐给我们吃。她凭记忆里做了我之前煮过的自制奶油酱通心粉,味倒还不错呢! 昨天下午我用了同样的自制奶油酱,煮了这道焗通心粉。在这与大家分享,希望你会喜欢!
Baked pasta with homemade cream sauce
自制奶酱焗通心粉
Ingredients for making cream sauce:
300ml whipping cream
4 slices of cheddar cheese
1 small piece of butter
6 cloves of garlic, chopped
Pinch of salt
Dash of pepper
1tsp mixed herbs
1tsp parsley flakes
Ingredients for baked pasta:
200g penne (or any pasta shape of your choice)
200g fresh shitake mushroom
shredded mozzarella cheese
shredded cheddar cheese
制作奶油酱的食材:
300毫升 奶油
300毫升 奶油
4片 乳酪片
1小块 牛油
6瓣蒜头,切碎
1小块 牛油
6瓣蒜头,切碎
盐少许
胡椒粉少许
1茶匙 意大利综合干燥香草
1茶匙 干燥巴西利
胡椒粉少许
1茶匙 意大利综合干燥香草
1茶匙 干燥巴西利
焗通心粉的食材:
200克 长通心粉(或任何形状的面食)
200克 新鲜香菇
切丝 摩佐拉乳酪
切丝 切达乳酪
Method做法:
1. To cook pasta, bring a large pan of water to the boil and add salt and cooking oil. (The oil prevents the pasta from sticking together.) Add the pasta to the boiling water. Depending on its thickness, most pasta will cook in 10-12 minutes.
1。烧一锅热水,水滚后,加入盐和食用油。 (油可防止面条粘在一起。)意大利面放入沸水。大部分面食,根据它的厚度会煮10-12分钟。
2. Slice the fresh mushrooms, chopped up the garlic.

3. Heat some butter in a non-stick pan. Add garlic and cook till lightly browned. Pour in the whipping cream, lower the heat and bring to simmer. Add in the cheese, salt, pepper, parsley, herbs and fresh mushroom and stir till the cheese melts. Simmer for a few minutes before pouring over cooked pasta.
3。在不粘锅,溶化牛油后,加入蒜头炒香。倒入淡奶油,降低火熬煮。加入奶酪, 盐,胡椒,香菜,香草和新鲜蘑菇,搅拌至奶酪融化。熬煮几分钟再倒入煮好的通心粉。
4. Sprinkle shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese generously to cover the top of the ovenproof dish. (I use Corning ware pot)

5. Baked in preheated oven 200 degrees celcius using top heat for about 10 minutes until the top is crisp. (For my brandt oven, I used the High Grill function)

Dish is ready to serve!

Hi Cheryl, I saw in the picture above u use the U-like chopper to chop garlic, I am thinking of buying, is the U-like equipment useful and value for money, please advise.

I have bought it in 2007 and have been using it regularly for chopping for garlics, chilli, grinding sesame seeds, and making smoothies etc. and it has served me well till date and it's a great kitchen tool for me. :)
